Things are exceptionally happening these days with just less than 70 days left for Silver Jubilee of the Art of Living! And everyday I am feeling more n more enthusiasm springing up within myself and the people around. And the more I make myself available for the Silver Jubilee work, the more amazing experiences come my way!
Some of the highlights…
YES!+ gang’s got their funds raising going by going door to door collecting “paper raddee” from people and selling it off to raise their share of contribution. The last week’s response has been amazing. No wonder as the ideas has come straight from Bawa’s camp. The raddi fever hit me too this Sunday as I went out and generated a cash of cool 101.50 bucks in just 10/15 minutes. Basically I did it intending to remove this mental block of “how can a software engineer with a salary that makes best in town jealous go asking for five kilos of raddi door to door?” And am glad I have learnt my lesson…
JUST DO IT! And you will know.
When you have the “YES” attitude in life, training happens every hour of the day. And it surprises you when you see how much you can do in a short span of time. Twas exactly the lesson of the day for me on weekend as I went on a race to finish one task after another… a visit to finalize the deal for my new beauty (don’t get me wrong it’s the new Turbo Sunrise Pearl Indigo), an intro talk in an elex firm, then some muscle work at the YES!+ course venue, and finally reached the weekly follow up venue to make arrangements for the next day. And man what a freezing moment it was as I entered the hall. It was full of chairs n big platforms n furniture sheets all stacked wildly on top of each other with things like carpentry & painting material spread all over the place. The worst, the carpenters just ran off the scene as I asked them to help clean the place for the next day’s events. And there we were, Rao uncle, who happens to be the MD of an elex company of his own and me, doing muscle work taking out all the stuff lying there. This is the fun part about being a volunteer in AOL, and the one which accelerates your growth in all the departments of life. A software developer and a CEO learning how to cleanup a hall full of mess within half an hour in an optimum fashion! No wonder I was feeling sleepy at 10PM after a long long time!
Time to work on some bugs as time is so less and so much is yet to be done about silver jubilee preparations. Oh by the way yesterday night had a blast at the company launch party at garden court. Got rid of one more block: “What kinda image people will have about me, esp. what my boss will think, if they see me up on the dance floor!” Anyways the event organization was really professional and the programs presented were well-performed so enjoy a couple of snaps from the show here.
