These Days in my life…

Finally… ... ... Succeeded in parking her in the Nevis parking slot in the basement! After so many days, here I was, walking smugly into office as a long-awaited ambition was finally fulfilled! And I was all the more puffed up walking into my cubicle with just a couple of guys in before me at something past 9. For the baffled ones, reaching before 10am to the office (maybe starting from home before 10am for office would be more appropriate) had remained a big dream for me for a long of time and I write this in the joy of finally making it! Thanks to a wonderful group meditation & knowledge session earlier in the morning (calling it night would be more appropriate for me:-)

Last night’s dinner was amazing with a very special persona visiting us. When I heard his name from mom when she gave me the news that he’s going to visit us, my immediate reflex was recollecting the lesson on wildlife in Nagzira sanctuary in our high-school textbook, Marathi being my favorite subject in those days. Maruti Chitampally, although being a well-renowned ornithologist and author of a range of popular Marathi books based on his study of wildlife in the state, seemed to be a man of few words initially. He was on an un-publicized visit to Pune and had specially come to our house for knowing more about the Art of Living from me and mum! And as our discussion proceeded over the dinner we were all mesmerized by his rich knowledge & experience acquired through his decades of study in the deep forests of the country. His anecdotes about the bison fights and elephant suicides were truly breath-taking. I am very much looking forward to visit one of the tiger sanctuaries with him in the coming year! For the time being I’ll have to live by the sankalpa of planting a few useful trees which he introduced to us. I thank God for being so much fortunate to meet such a person so easily at home!

Lastly summer time being time for holidays n guests n mangoes n ice-creams, my appetite’s been thoroughly entertained last whole month with all kinds of crazy food stuff. Need to control it more and do something about fitness levels as the June football tourney is not so far away. There’s an idea cooking up in my mind to start a small football club of a few AOL mates just for getting together & having fun playing football, let’s see how it materializes. Hope more guys join as the world cup football fever is in the air. Visited crossword on weekend with friends. God I need to break this deadlock. Every time I go through a few books - like one or two - but when it comes to making a decision as to which one to buy, I am thoroughly confused - add to it the price factor and like a fool I walk out with empty hands. God, someone give me a nice solution to this problem.

On social service front children & education is again on the top of the list with a visit to an orphanage near saswad village on the occasion of Gurudev’s B’day and participation in a peaceful protest rally against government’s reservation bill on weekend. And now once again SSRVM, our beautiful school with its unique methodology is my prime focus. Add to it preparations for the upcoming YES!+ courses and Bawa’s visit!!! Man, wish for it with all your sincerity and it all comes walking right in front of you. Anyways that’s all for now. Enjoy Guruji’s B’day snaps all the way from the serene German Ashram for a while. Disclaimer: I’ll be very partial here putting up only the ones in which my dearest teacher Bawa’s making an appearance. Watch one of the pics closely, I suspect Bawa's opening some gift while he thinks Guruji's buzy attending others;-)
